I loved watching the first episode of Simon Reeve’s Pilgrimage tonight on recommendation by friends and tutors. I don’t normally find myself enjoying and being able to stay focused on documentaries, but this one was special. There were times when I felt frustrated, but also times when I felt deeply moved. Ultimately I felt it really captured pilgrimage. It really captured life in the present day. What we long for and the beauty we have forgotten and should visit again. I’ll be watching the second and third episodes over the next couple of days.
