The Archbishop has been actively engaged in discussions and response around the Horn of Africa food crisis. Following recent discussions at the Vatican, the Archbishop wishes to bring together a round table.
Bringing together representatives from the government, NGOs, the United Nations, Christian and Muslim faith-based organisations, and public figures, this meeting will seek fresh perspectives and responses to the situation.
Discussion will cover the crisis and the conflict, including opening up the humanitarian space. It will also look forward, reflecting on food security, the role of faith communities promoting community resilience and the long term solutions ‘beyond hunger’.
This is being called on behalf of the newly launched Anglican Alliance, directed by Sally Keeble.
