Caligula’s Seashells

I’ve got a week until my second year of college begins… so I’ve begun to do a bit of prep work. (Ach.) Did you know that in 39AD the nature of Caligula’s (emperor of Rome at this time) reign changed from one of popularity to erratic (probably insane) behaviour in which he developed a strong dislike for the senate, demanding to be worshipped as a god by all his subjects, committing incest with his sister Drusilla and then having her killed, and giving orders to troops on the Gallic side of the English Channel to collect seashells? No neither did I… studying Classical Civilization certainly has its moments…
