Bless our Faith, and our Dreams

Choral Evensong tonight from BBC Radio 3 has given me a great sense of peace after an incredibly long day of studying. Hymns, readings and prayers have allowed me to meditate, to contemplate, and to appreciate the times of stillness given to us.

A prayer from the service, for Christian Aid Week, inside St Edmundsbury Cathedral:
God of the impossible, we pray for justice, peace and reconciliation. When the challenges seem too many, remind us of your resurrection power. Encourage us by the miracles that happen whenever injustice is dismantled and rebuilt with peace. Help us to hope that the impossible can happen, and to live as if it might do so today. We believe in life before death. We dream of poverty over. Lord bless our faith, and our dreams. Amen.
