The Lord is risen! Allelulia!
Tune for following hymn here
This is the day, this is the day that the Lord has made, that the Lord has made; we will rejoice, we will rejoice and be glad in it, and be glad in it. This is the day that the Lord has made, we will rejoice and be glad in it; this is the day, this is the day that the Lord has made.
This is the day, this is the day when he rose again, when he rose again; we will rejoice, we will rejoice and be glad in it, and be glad in it. This is the day when he rose again, we will rejoice and be glad in it; this is the day, this is the day when he rose again.
Alleluia! The Collect for the day: God of glory, in whom Jesus Christ is risen; fill your Church with faith and hope; for a new day has dawned, creation is restored, and by your grace revealed to us in Jesus the way to life stands open. Amen.
My daily Lenten writing on Biblical passages has come to an end. I’ll still write often but not every day (75 posts out of 99 days so far this year!). I’ll still be reading the passages from the lectionary as I have done since the start of the new year, but with about eight weeks until my final A Level exams begin, I need to focus on that more.
For the rest of today though, I’ll be singing and reading and rejoicing in the beautiful reminder that love is the strongest thing there is. (And I’ll be eating lots of chocolate.) Love, which I call Christ, will always be with us.
Happy Easter.
