Temporarily free to download for Amazon Kindle, I got hold of The brilliant book of calm: Down to Earth Ideas for Finding Inner Peace in a Chaotic World. There are 52 ideas, and I’ll be reading one each day. Over the last year I’ve developed a much deeper sense of inner peace, and I’ve never felt so blessed to be breathing and alive. Mental attitude, calm, has such an effect on life that we all need to get a hold on it. Be positive, be not afraid. And so when little books like this come along, I’m always curious to hear any new “theology”. Off to a good start with the book:
Yoda is my hero. Not because he’s a Jedi master or because he ignores the rules of grammar, more because Yoda is an oasis of calm in the face of crisis. When I’m hit by a crisis, I get flappy-handed and shrill; I am pointedly not an oasis of calm, more a cactus of panic.
Be more like Yoda? Not a problem. My “sisters” have still got some lightsabers…

Lovely post Rachael. This fellow looks like someone I could talk to all day and night. As you suggest there seems to be a deep inner calm about him. Thanks for the book tip too!
Calm inner peace. I am getting better at it.
